Mercari, Inc. is a Japanese company based in Minato-ku, Tokyo that operates the Mercari flea market app. The company was founded by Shintaro Yamada in 2013 as a company called KOUZOU and was later renamed Mercari, Inc. Yamada is also the company's current CEO. Mercari was previously operating other services such as Attē, a regional community app, Kauru, a flea market app for books, CDs, and DVDs, and Mercari Mezon, a luxury brand-focused resale app, but all of these services have been discontinued. One of Mercari's group companies is the J.League club Kashima Antlers.
